Michael Philips has spent 50 years in the financial services industry, beginning his career at just 20 years old. Over five decades he has built a depth of knowledge and client understanding that very few in the profession can match. At Mandalay Wealth Management, Michael serves as your financial Concierge Service & Estate Planning Strategist — a dedicated client advocate who ensures every interaction reflects the precision and personal care the firm is built on.
Michael’s career has been defined by leadership and innovation. He was among the early pioneers of the family office model in Australia, helping shape how high-net-worth families structure, protect, and transfer wealth across generations. His specialisation in family office services, estate planning guidance, and intergenerational wealth transfer — delivered in a tax-effective manner — has made him a trusted advocate for families navigating some of the most complex and significant financial decisions of their lives.
Prior to joining Mandalay Wealth Management, Michael co-founded Philips Financial alongside his father David Philips — building a financial planning practice from the ground up. As his expertise in the family office space grew, the business evolved into Philips Family Office, one of the early movers in that sector in Australia. Michael also founded AACS, an accounting practice, and EPS (Estate Planning Strategist), a specialist estate planning business — each one reflecting his drive to build solutions where he saw a genuine need. That same entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to client outcomes carries through in his role today — guiding families through estate planning considerations, coordinating the client experience end to end, and bringing a level of service shaped by half a century of doing this work at the highest level.

As an Associate Adviser, Rosy is currently completing her Professional Year under the supervision of Han Spendlove, building her expertise across retirement planning, investment strategy, insurance, and risk management.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, and works closely with clients throughout the advice process — from research and strategy preparation through to implementation and ongoing review. As Client Services Manager, Jacqui oversees the full client journey — from initial onboarding and compliance through to ongoing communication, workflow management, and everything in between.
